Prof. Dr. Peter J. Mirski

Peter J. Mirski holds a chair in Management and IT at the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI). He is Director of the academic study programs Management, Communication & IT as well as Digital Business & Software Engineering Online. Peter Mirski is also Courtesy Professor at the University of Omaha, Nebraska. As Chief Information Officer he is head of the central IT Services Department of the University.

Professor Mirski is author and editor of academic papers and books as well as keynote speaker at leading industrial fairs and conferences. He has led several national and international research projects, including the European project OPENSKIMR - Open European Skill Match Maker.

Professor Mirski received his PhD Degree at the University of Innsbruck, in Management with electives in Business Informatics.

He has launched and co-founded several successful businesses and initiatives.

Professor Mirski has been serving on the Advisory Board for the Standortagentur Tirols’ Information Technoligy Cluster since 2008. In 2018 he was appointed to the ESCO Maintenance Committee, an expert group of the European Commission for the classification of European skills/competences, qualifications and occupations.
