Peter Hochholdinger is a very experienced automotive executive and passionate leader working for over 27 years in the premium auto industry. He learned car manufacturing from the base line and has an extensive background in the entire process chain building cars. He shared his expertise throughout the world leading international teams and managing important and challenging car projects.

He is Vice President of Manufacturing at Lucid Motors, in charge of building a world-class manufacturing team. And building the Lucid production site in Casa Grande, AZ, the first green field manufacturing plant for EV’s in the US.

Prior to this he was Vice President of Production at Tesla, responsible for the production sites in California and Europe.

Peter Hochholdinger learned car manufacturing at the Audi flagship plant in Ingolstadt, Germany. He was senior director of production the Audi A4, A5 and Q5 with more than 400,000 cars built annual. In 2015 and 2016, Peter supervised teams responsible for the design, construction and start-up of the Q5 production site in San José Chiapa, Mexico. He has a Engineering Master’s degree in material science from the Friedrich-Alexander-University in Erlangen, Germany (Dipl.-Ing. Univ) and has successfully submitted three patents.
