The City
Montreal is the largest city in the Canadian province of Quebec. It is situated on the Island of Montreal in the St Lawrence river. Montreal has a population of approx. 1.7 million inhabitants. French is the city's official language and is also the language spoken by the majority of the inhabitants; making it the second biggest French-speaking city on the world after Paris.
The University
L'École des sciences de la gestion de l'UQAM (ESG UQAM) is a public institution, affiliated with the Université du Québec in Montréal. It is situated in the city center of Montreal. The primary teaching language is French, however English courses are offered.
