The City


Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Situated on the River Vltava in central Bohemia, Prague has been the political, cultural, and economic center of the Czech state for more than 1100 years. The city proper is home to more than 1.2 million people, while its metropolitan area is estimated to have a population of over 1.9 million.
Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

The University


The university offers bachelors's programmes and Master's programmes (based on credit system) and doctoral programmes.

The University also offers five two-year MSc programmes taught in English (Economics and Management, Natural Resources and Environment Forestry, Water and Landscape Management, Informatics, Technology and Environmental Engineering).

In 2005 the Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS) became a Member in the Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS).
