As part of the MCI Alumni & Friends Distinguished Guest Lectures, the Entrepreneurial School® had the honor to welcome Richard Fontaine, CEO of the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), at the MCI.

The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) is an independent, bipartisan, nonprofit organization that develops strong, pragmatic, and principled national security and defense policies. CNAS engages policymakers, experts, and the public with innovative, fact-based research, ideas, and analysis to shape and elevate the national security debate. A key part of its mission is to inform and prepare the national security leaders of today and tomorrow.

Richard Fontaine served as a Senior Advisor and Senior Fellow at CNAS from 2009-2012 and previously as foreign policy advisor to Senator John McCain for more than five years. He has also worked at the State Department, the National Security Council and on the staff of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
