Study program: Business & Management (Diploma)
When I look back at my time at MCI...
I am particularly struck by how much of what I've learned I've actually been able to apply in practice since then. The option of studying part-time was ideal for me, because it fit perfectly with my professional career at that time. In addition, I found the program very versatile due to different subject areas and additional specializations (major and minor). Furthermore, meeting people from different industries and with various backgrounds enriched my experience.
How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?
In addition to a basic theoretical knowledge, I particularly liked the focus on practice-oriented models and "state-of-the-art" approaches that accompanied me on my later career path. Particularly in areas such as leadership, strategic management, change management and personnel development, I could repeatedly apply valuable contents.
What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?
I found it nice to be part of a community of fellow students and to be able to get to know each other better, exchange ideas and support each other over the years, especially through the various practice-oriented project and group work, where not only content-related aspects were required, but also social skills. Overall, it simply depends on what you make of your studies, how much you get out of them and how you shape them for yourself and your strengths.
What is your motto?
Being successful is not only about what you do, but also about how you can support the ideas of others.
Our students share their experiences and give insights into courses, projects, and student life in the vibrant Alpine city of Innsbruck.
