Completed study program: Business Administration online (Bachelor)

When I look back at my time at MCI...
… to be honest, it was a very stressful and challenging time. But bit by bit you grow beyond yourself. I can still remember when I came home after the online lecture at the beginning of my studies, having to put my second son at the age of three weeks into the stroller every time because he didn't want to sleep. My thought at the time was: "How am I going to manage this?” Also, in my first subject "Scientific Writing and Working" I was confronted with a scientific paper for the first time in my life and thought "Oh my God...". Three years later, I look back on a time in which I matured personally and above all professionally and was allowed to learn a lot. One sees many things in a different light, questions existing things and understands a lot more. The MCI and the team at BWL-Online know how to use digital media well and prepare students for the next three years. The transfer of knowledge works excellently and it is not a simple "funneling" of information. One discusses current cases in view of the respective courses and thus gets the opportunity to apply what has been learned in reality to understand it better. Today, just over a year later and with my Master's degree in progress, I appreciate the work of the BWLO team even more, and how you benefit in the long term from the well-founded studies and the excellent support.
How did your studies prepare you for your current job?
In my job as a sales manager, it is always about questioning the status quo, developing new ideas and thinking outside the box. With the acquired knowledge in this study program, you get a set of "tools" in your hand to develop these strategies and to present them accordingly. Applications such as SWOT analysis, PESTLE or ROI that sound theoretical, but are actually needed on a regular basis to get an overview and realize ideas. Furthermore, Covid-19 shows how important it is to deal with digital media and to develop your digital skills.
What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?
It is both challenging and demanding. But it is worth every second. If you want to get ahead in life, you have to stay up-to-date and consistently continue with your education. Thanks to this study program, it is possible to combine a full-time job, family and friends (even when a newborn baby is on its way).
