Simone Hepperger-Battisti
When I look back at my time at MCI...
I am grateful above all. On the one hand, for the fact that I was able to study at such a renowned university and learn from first-class teachers from business and science using innovative methods - this allowed me to further develop approaches and views and gain new insights. On the other hand, because of the newly formed friendships with fellow students and, last but not least, for the support, understanding and positive encouragement during challenging times from family and friends.
How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?
The focus of my current work is on optimizing purchasing processes and creating added value through analysis. The program prepares students for a wide variety of fields of activity by teaching a broad range of business topics and drawing attention to their interactions. In addition, the handling of various key figures and the use of well-founded and clearly structured instruments help to make forecasts and assessments for strategic decision-making. No matter if it is about time-oriented or competition-oriented strategy alternatives for new solutions or the analysis of the external business environment for entering new markets or business fields. In addition, the courses also enables students to develop concrete recommendations of action for various business management problems based on scientific findings. In particular, the program also creates awareness on how corporate success cannot be defined exclusively by positive company figures, but is also reflected in qualitative values - such as social and societal responsibility.
What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?
Seize the opportunity, because MCI is an extremely strong partner in continuing education. Always keep your goal in mind, especially during difficult phases, because at the end of the day, honest performance and commitment will create true satisfaction and create due appreciation. Above all, however, studying at the MCI brings you closer to yourself, as group discussions, ongoing exchange and open dialogue with lecturers and students encourage you to grow beyond your own limits, to reflect again and again, to recognize the diversity of possibilities and to take nothing for granted. This helps to continuously develop and get to know oneself anew, which continuously strengthens the person on a professional as well as private or personal level.
Our students share their experiences and give insights into courses, projects, and student life in the vibrant Alpine city of Innsbruck.
