Raiffeisen has played an integral role in the foundation and development of MCI Management Center Innsbruck. “In the 1990s, RLB Tirol AG put in a lot of effort into convcing the remaining skeptics that a practically oriented institution of higher education could really work”, MCI Rector Andreas Altmann recalls. This was the beginning of a long-standing partnership. Raiffeisen significantly contributed to MCI’s current international success by strongly supporting the institution in its founding years. The successful cooperation has now been extended for another two years.

RLB Tirol AG is an official sponsor of MCI, supporting high achieving students with the Raiffeisen Award. Students in MCI’s continuing education programs, as well as Bachelor and Master students spending an international semester outside of Europe, are eligible to apply for this award.

The two institutions also cooperate within a joint partnership for the Tyrolean Economic Forum and have launched a certified MCI study program for Raiffeisen managers. This program has been designed specifically for Raiffeisen to promote a common understanding of leadership within the Raiffeisen group. It ensures that Raiffeisen executives are up to date on this highly topical issue of leadership.

Johannes Ortner, chairman of the management board of RLB Tirol AG and speaker of the Raiffeisen Tirol banking group is convinced of the importance of having a successful entrepreneurial school in Tyrol: “Higher education graduates play an important role in the economic development of a region, whether they are startups, mentors, entrepreneurial role models or future executives. Raiffeisen supports MCI because we want to have science, research and education available in Tyrol. The Entrepreneurial School® effectively promotes our region. More importantly, it provides a key foundation for the future of our region.”

The two successful institutions are connected through more than just joint projects. They also share a common vision of the future. MCI Rector Andreas Altmann strongly appreciates this forward-looking cooperation: “The world has changed dramatically. We are pleased to have Raiffeisen by our side as a partner that is aware of the enormous opportunities and challenges of our times, while recognizing the significance of first-class education.”
