MCI successful with Tyrolean science fund

Six highly topical research projects receive state funding - securing the competitiveness of Tyrol as a business and science location.

Every year, the state of Tyrol supports the work of outstanding young scientists from Tyrolean universities with grants from the Tyrolean Science Fund (TWF). From the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), six researchers were awarded the coveted grant for their highly topical and practice-relevant research projects. The award was presented by Bernhard Tilg, state minister, during a ceremony at the University of Innsbruck.

The following young scientists of the Entrepreneurial School® will receive TWF funding:

  • Belachew Gebrewold: "Can Europe's Marshal Plan with Africa regarding the drivers of migration deter emigration from Africa? (Migration Research)
  • Harald Schöbel: "Improved sun protection with alpine algae" (algae biotechnology)
  • Gundula Glowka: "Requirements for risk management in small and medium-sized family businesses in Tyrol" (Family Business)
  • Teresa Spieß: "Family Businesses and HR Strategies for the Future: the influence of the family on the employer attractiveness of family businesses" (Family Business)
  • Matthias Decker: "Development and evaluation of platform-independent applications of collaborative robots" (Electronics)
  • Johannes Siebert: "Understanding Proactive Decision Making: Antecedents and Consequences"
