This year’s South Tyrolean Economic Forum once again unveils an excellent program. On Friday, March 29, 2019, entrepreneurs and decision makers will gather for this extraordinary event in Bressanone, South Tyrol to exchange ideas, network, and collaborate on the most pressing challenges facing the region. An early bird discount of 10 % is offered to all registrations made by Friday, February 22, 2019. The organizing team, headed by MCI, Innsbruck, has obtained the commitment of several high-ranking figures from government, business, and academia to speak at the event, which, this year, is dedicated to the topic “In times of upheaval”:

  • Italian Prime Minister-designate and long-time Director of Fiscal Affairs at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C., Carlo Cottarelli, will open the event.
  • Thomas Middelhoff, former chairman of the boards of Bertelsmann and Arcandor, will illustrate how closely the rise of a top manager can be followed by his downfall by offering insights into his own experience with the justice system, the media, and imprisonment.
  • The successful entrepreneur Daria Illy was born into a coffee dynasty and is now responsible for various management functions at illycaffè S.p.A. Since 2017, she has also been managing MITACA S.r.l., a company that designs, develops, and distributes coffee and hot beverage systems for offices and large companies.
  • Dumëne Comploi is a native of South Tyrol and an expert in computer graphics and visual effects design. He has successfully taken the leap across the pond and, as a creative designer at Walt Disney Imagineering, leads a team of artists and programmers exploring the future of immersive entertainment.
  • The event will be concluded by Investment Punk Gerald Hörhan, who caught the public’s attention with his bold statements about asset planning and digitalization, as well as his unconventional appearance.

Over the course of 15 years, the South Tyrolean Economic Forum has become the central meeting point for leaders south of the Alps. Every year, 400 guests, many of whom are regular participants, use the event as a platform to exchange ideas and maintain contact with diverse business, government, and academic partners. The event is organized by the South Tyrolean association of entrepreneurs, the publishing company business bestseller, the Südstern network of South Tyroleans abroad, the weekly newspaper and media partner Südtiroler Wirtschaftszeitung, and MCI Management Center Innsbruck.
