Productive exchange between science and practice in the World Café at the Entrepreneurial School®
For the fourth time, MCI and its Family Business Center (FBC) recently hosted the "Family Business Forum" in order to promote creative dialogue between family entrepreneurs on the one hand, and students and professors on the other. The focus was on changing perspectives, innovation, and professionalization.
In the format of a World Café, around 60 students from the English-language Master’s programs International Business & Management and Entrepreneurship & Tourism worked together with the entrepreneurs on topics such as corporate governance, internationalization, succession, innovation, growth, dealing with conflicts, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial behavior. Entrepreneur Martha Schultz, Managing Director of the Schultz Group, sums up: "I am here for the first time and I am delighted at how well prepared the students are and how exciting the discussions and new insights are for all those involved." Both sides praised the diversity of the approaches and solutions that were proposed, all of which become visible through new perspectives and changes in perspective.
"As the Entrepreneurial School®, it is a primary concern of ours to understand the problems of the economy and to develop solutions together. I would like to thank all entrepreneurs who engaged in the challenging discourse with our students," sums up Anita Zehrer, head of the Family Business Center.
MCI would like to thank the following companies for their cooperation:
