This year's South Tyrolean Economic Forum offers a top-class program: On Friday, 27th March 2020, entrepreneurs and decision-makers will meet for an exchange of ideas and networking at a top-class event. NEW as of 2020 is the Bolzano venue and the opportunity to meet start-ups who will present themselves during the event. Register by Friday, 28.02.2020, and avail of an early-bird bonus of -10%.

Under the motto "Tanz auf dem Vulkan?" (Dancing on a Volcano?), the organizers - spearheaded by the MCI in Innsbruck - were able to engage high-level speakers to demonstrate success strategies in turbulent times.

  • The event kicks off with Alberto Zanatta, CEO of the Tecnica Group in Treviso, a leading manufacturer of sports and lifestyle clothing and winter sports equipment with such well-known cult brands as Moon Boot, Tecnica, Nordica, Lowa, Blizzard and Rollerblade.
  • In her role as Vice President for Central Europe at Facebook, Angelika Gifford is responsible for the Benelux, the DACH region and Central and Eastern Europe, and has many years of experience in media, digitalization and high-tech.
  • Originally from Veneto, Alberto Baban is the entrepreneur par-excellence and has built up an internationally active group of companies, which he takes to new heights through innovative re-start approaches.
  • A native of South Tyrol, Alex Nigg is the founder and CEO of Properly, a successful platform for the digital management of alternative accommodation based in San Francisco. Before founding Properly, he worked as a venture capitalist, most recently with Canvas Ventures and Morgenthaler Ventures in Silicon Valley.
  • The enigmatic South Tyrolean media star Georg Kofler is an entrepreneurial personality who is famed for regularly reinventing himself. Since 2016, he has been the main shareholder and Chairman of Social Chain AG, and since 2017, he has also been a juror and investor in the popular TV show "The Lion's Den".

In the years since its establishment, the South Tyrolean Economic Forum has developed into the central meeting place for executives south of the Alps. Every year, 400 participants, many of whom are enthusiastic regular guests, use this international platform for impetus, dialogue and networking.  The event is organised in partnership by the Entrepreneurs' Association of South Tyrol, the Südtiroler Wirtschaftszeitung, the publishing house Business Bestseller, the network of South Tyroleans abroad "Südstern" and MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®.
