For more than 10 years, students of the Leopold Franzens University Innsbruck (LFU), the Medical University Innsbruck and the Entrepreneurial School® have been awarded the sponsorship prize of the German Friends of the Universities in Innsbruck (DFK) for their outstanding academic performance and ambitious plans for the future.
Anna Fürst, b.sc. has been studying at MCI in the master's program 'Biotechnology' since 2019. Ms. Fürst would like to use the scholarship for her planned research stay in the USA, where she would like to deepen her expertise in cancer research in the world's leading laboratories at renowned elite universities. At the same time, she would like to exchange innovative concepts and ideas for the treatment of cancer patients there.
Felix Mitterer, ba, is studying 'Management, Communication & IT' and would like to use the scholarship to finance his master's studies in Lisbon at the ‘Nova School of Business and Economics’. There he plans to participate in an Erasmus exchange to improve his language skills. Furthermore, the scholarship will support him to find a good balance between studying and working in his start-up.
Jakob Summer, ba, master's student in the MCI program 'International Business & Management' would like to use the DFK sponsorship award to complete his master's thesis. In addition, the scholarship will also enable him to attend training courses on popular ERP or CRM systems.
At the Leopold Franzens University of Innsbruck, the awards went to Emma Komarek, Franziska Niederkofler and Alexander Steiner. At the Medical University, the prizes went to Lena Karadar, Felix Öttl and Paul Salcher.
Clemens August Andreae Prize
The Clemens August Andreae Award (CAA) was also presented during the ceremony. The Clemens-August-Andreae-Prize 2021 is awarded to the best dissertation in economics approved at the University of Innsbruck since 2019 and to the best diploma or master thesis in economics approved at an Innsbruck university since 2019. Graduate of 'Management, Communication & IT' Natalie Baur, MA, received the prestigious award for her master thesis 'The Influencing Factors on the Willingness to Disclose Personal Information to Online Travel Agencies'.
At LFUI, Parampreet Christopher Bindra and Florian Bottner received the award.
