Two outstanding MCI-related research projects have received the Eduard Wallnöfer Recognition Award 2022: the project "Smart Inclusion" by Magdalena Posch, a member of the MCI Department of Management, Communication & IT, and the project "PREDATOR" by David Kampenhuber (ALPEX Technologies), which is scientifically supported by the MCI, convinced the jury. In the presence of numerous guests of honor, including Deputy Governor Georg Dornauer, Regional Minister Cornelia Hagele, Regional Minister Mario Gerber and President of Industriellenvereinigung Tirol Christoph Swarovski, Foundation Chairman Oswald Mayr presented the awards to the winners.
In cooperation with Lebenshilfe Tirol, Magdalena Posch has been working since March 2022 on the innovative research project "Smart Inclusion". The project aims to enable people with disabilities to live as independently as possible by means of cutting-edge technology. Smart glasses simulate everyday situations with the help of augmented reality in order to train and strengthen the clients' independence.
The project "PREDATOR" by David Kampenhuber, Head of Business Development at ALPEX Technologies GmbH, enables energy-efficient and transparent production of fiber composites, setting new benchmarks in the digitalization of the manufacturing process in aviation. The Entrepreneurial School® and the University of Innsbruck scientifically support the project.
