Renowned guests from business, society, and technology came together at the 19th South Tyrolean Economic Forum in Bolzano. Around 400 participants filled the MEC Congress Center to attend outstanding presentations, inspiring discussions, and valuable networking on the topic of "Turning point. Turning times. Perspectives. Challenges. Opportunities." In addition, the Start-Up Arena with selected start-ups provided excellent possibilities for networking and partnerships.
After Arno Kompatscher, Governor of South Tyrol, and Gerhard Brandstätter, President of Südtiroler Sparkasse, welcomed the guests, Christian Pfeifer, editor-in-chief of the Südtiroler Wirtschaftszeitung, led through a fascinating afternoon with excellent guests:
Günther Dissertori | Rector of ETH Zurich | Member of Südstern"Crises, innovation, and prosperity: how science and business can work together synergetically"

The captivating presentations and discussions reflected the fact that society is on the verge of major changes. "We are facing the next industrial and social revolution. This is necessary if we want to slow down climate change and conserve resources. Of course, we will drive, build and live differently. But that is okay. This offers great opportunities, so we should grasp them," says Rolf Martin Schmitz, who addressed the current energy revolution in his presentation.
Afterwards, a casual get-together invited guests to network with clients, partners and friends while enjoying South Tyrolean specialties. MCI Rector Andreas Altmann is pleased with the successful event: "All of our economic forums in Salzburg, Innsbruck and Bolzano have very different characters. But they all have one thing in common: we bring people together, we bridge science and business, and technology and innovation, and we inspire. We have once again successfully achieved all of this at this year's South Tyrolean Economic Forum."
