Due to the exemplary integration of sustainability across MCI operations and academic programs and receiving recognition with the award of the UNESCO Chair in Futures Capability for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurial School® was presented with the prestigious Significant Impact Award 2024 by the Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA).
The award ceremony took place as part of the BMDA Annual Conference in Gdansk, Poland, which provided valuable exchange and inspiring lectures with international guests, including former President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Lech Walesa.
Regina Obexer, Head of the MCI Center for Responsible Management & Social Impact, accepted the award on behalf of the MCI and thanked the BMDA Board, “It is wonderful to see that the effort so many colleagues at MCI are putting into sustainable development is being recognized by the BMDA.”
Antje Bierwisch, MCI professor and holder of the UNESCO Chair for future studies established in 2023, is delighted at the Chair’s recognition: “This award highlights MCI's commitment to promoting sustainable development through education, research, and innovation and emphasizes our contribution to shaping a more sustainable future.”
