Recently, the Entrepreneurial School® welcomed students from HTL Anichstraße and HAK Innsbruck to the "Innovation Day" held at MCI in Innsbruck. The event aimed to ignite interest in entrepreneurial activities, foster innovative thinking, and inspire the next generation of founders.
After the opening remarks by MCI CTO Michael Kraxner and Markus Abart, head of career guidance at the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce’s Educational Consulting (“Bildungsconsulting”), the Innovation Day kicked off with a diverse program. The focus was on hands-on workshops that encouraged participants' creativity while sharpening their awareness and understanding of successful business models.
A standout moment was the inspiring talk by MCI alumna and myFODMAP founder, Susanne Schwarzl. She shared insights into her entrepreneurial journey and explained the strategies behind her success. Students also got the chance to explore exciting projects and initiatives at MCI, highlighting the strong link between practical teaching, research, and entrepreneurship.
Students will also have the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills into action through the "Junior Company Program" by Junior Austria, where they will work on starting and developing their own companies.
“We are thrilled to have hosted the Innovation Day at MCI in collaboration with the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce’s Educational Consulting as part of the Economic Society. As an Entrepreneurial School®, we aim to spark young people's enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship, helping them unlock their vast potential by engaging in discussions about current challenges and exploring possible solutions. A big thanks also goes to the Tyrolean schools for the excellent groundwork they've already laid,“ says Benjamin Suitner, responsible for Startups & Entrepreneurship at MCI and lead organizer of the Innovation Day.
