In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the founding and development of MCI, his enduring personal commitment, and long-standing connection, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® has awarded the honorary title of Senator to Dipl.-Kfm. Dr. Klaus Ennemoser, MBA.
Klaus Ennemoser studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where he earned both his master’s degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) and a doctorate in economics. He then worked at the Institute for Tourism Research at the same university before completing an MBA at INSEAD Fontainebleau and Harvard Business School. Following this, he worked as a consultant for the Austrian Society for Applied Tourism Sciences, before establishing his own tourism consulting business in 1975, with offices in Innsbruck, Vienna, and Birkenfeld. Since 1978, Klaus Ennemoser has been a court-certified expert on tourism facilities and spent 22 years as chairman of the Villa Blanka Tourism Schools.
With passion and dedication, Klaus Ennemoser has made significant contributions not only to the development of the national tourism and leisure industry, but also played a central role in the establishment of relevant academic programs with international standards at MCI since its early days. From 2000 to 2020, he served as a member of MCI’s University Council, further highlighting his strong connection to academic tourism education.
