MCI Confers Two Associate Professorships

Further strengthening of scientific expertise: associate professorships awarded to Ayman Fouda and Julian Huber

In recognition of their achievements in research and teaching and their exemplary contributions to the development of the Entrepreneurial School®, MCI recently awarded Associate Professorships to Ayman Fouda, Department of Nonprofit, Social & Health Care Management, and Julian Huber, Department of Smart Building Technologies.

Assoc. Prof. Ayman Fouda, PhD, MBBCh.

Ayman Fouda studied Medicine and Surgery at Suez Canal University and subsequently worked as a general practitioner and pediatrician in Egypt. In 2015, he obtained a master’s degree in International Health & Social Management from MCI and earned his PhD in 2022 from Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Bologna as part of a European Doctorate in Law and Economics. Since 2019, he has been working at the MCI Department of Nonprofit, Social & Health Care Management as a Research & Teaching Assistant and was awarded the Assistant Professorship in 2023. Furthermore, he conducts research at the MCI Center for Social & Health Innovation in the fields of health economics, soft law, health policy, and green healthcare.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Julian Huber

Julian Huber completed his bachelor's in Industrial Engineering at TU Berlin and his master's at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he earned his PhD in Information Systems in 2020. From 2016 to 2021, Julian Huber worked in various roles at the FZI Research Center for Information Technology, including as a Senior Expert for Smart Grids and Energy Markets and as the Head of the "Information Management and Analytics" research department. Following this, he joined MCI, where he serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Smart Building Technologies. In his teaching, he focuses on areas such as Data Science, Software Engineering, Internet of Things, and Automation Technology.
