Greetings from Finland

Date 2020-12-17

The "Management & Law"-students Clemens Armellini and Kevin Erhart are currently spending their semester abroad in Finland and have the time of their lives! The students send us greetings from Helsinki and give us a sneak peek of their student lives during the pandemic.

“Due to the current situation, all our courses except for one have been online. Nevertheless, we gained a lot of new knowledge in various topics. Especially the practical focus and the high proportion of group assignments were beneficial for us.

Through one of our courses we even received a unique opportunity – namely to work together with a Finnish SME. During the course we carried out a practical project with the design company Valona and they offered us the chance to continue our collaboration after the end of the project. We are working for them as sales representatives on a part-time basis and our focus is set on the Austrian market.

Apart from that, we received the possibility to explore a new country and its culture. We got to know local and international people, visited saunas, and watched local sport events. On road trips we discovered the Finnish nature and their national parks and even went to Lapland. Great experiences and new adventures were on our path, we even went on a three-day kayak trip on our own.

We had a great time here in Finland and we will enjoy our last days before we head home before Christmas. Great people, amazing opportunities and a beautiful country made our stay unforgettable and our time in Helsinki will have a huge impact on our personal development and growth.“
