Case competition with Red Bull

Practical insights into the bachelor's program Management & Law

MCI students were given a unique opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in the field of strategic management in practice. As part of the “Strategic Management” course taught by lecturer Dr. Daniel Degischer, the thrid semester students were given the opportunity to develop market analyses for three selected countries and present them to Red Bull representatives. The students worked out their initial ideas in small teams and developed analyses tailored to the respective markets.

At the heart of the event was feedback on the case solution, including from Red Bull expert Hendrik Klein, who provided helpful tips and feedback from the world of Red Bull strategy. This experience gave the students a unique insight into the real challenges and mindset of a global company.

After intensive presentations and valuable feedback, several winning teams were finally chosen. They impressed with particularly well-founded elaborations and presentation performances and were awarded high-quality prizes.

“Practical projects like this are very valuable for our students,” emphasizes Dr. Daniel Degischer. “Students not only have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge, but also receive direct feedback from decision-makers in the field. In addition, students expand their professional network in this way. This motivates them and provides important impetus for their future careers.”

With this project, the MCI is once again setting an example for the practical training of its students and is looking forward to continuing and expanding its cooperation with renowned companies such as Red Bull in order to provide students with valuable insights into practice in the future.
