In Nepal, the income is so low for many people that it is barely enough to buy enough food and clothing. As a result, children and young people do not have the opportunity to receive quality education. Without education, it is impossible to be able to eliminate inequalities.
We as a project group of the study program Nonprofit, Social & Health Care Management, have the goal to help the association Mukta Nepal in cooperation with our practice partner and co-founder of the association, Friederike Sahling, to develop an innovative and sustainable fundraising concept. For this purpose, we analyze areas that are related to the achievement of this goal. On the one hand, the motivations of donors are to be identified in order to create donor profiles. On the other hand, these profiles will be used to determine donation products and pricing policies.
The main goal of the non-profit organization Mukta Nepal is to provide school education to children, adolescents, young adults and adults in the Nepalese village of Kahripati, thus contributing to SDG 4 "Inclusive, equitable and quality education". In addition, the association is committed to promoting public health and health care and provides general humanitarian aid in emergencies caused by natural disasters. In order for the association to achieve a permanent improvement in the situation of the people in Nepal, Mukta Nepal is dependent on continuous donations. The difficulty lies in the continual generation of this income, to ensure that the project and the work of the association's volunteers can be continued in the future, regardless of emergency situations.
The basis of the project work is a comprehensive literature research, from which the research question is derived. The answer to the research question and thus the achievement of the objective is to be realized by using a quantitative as well as a qualitative research design. The results will be presented at the end of June.
