The study program Social, Health & Public Management focuses intensively on the central challenges of the modern working world. Topics such as New Work, psychological empowerment, HR and organizational development, as well as developments in digital transformation, are not only of growing importance in research and practice but also play a central role in the study program. Students are prepared to actively shape the future of the working world and to successfully navigate new forms of leadership and collaboration.
In addition to courses on HR management, organizational development, innovation management, digitalization in the health and social sector, and responsible management, the department places great emphasis on offering students practical events and insights. These complement theoretical knowledge and provide practical insights into the challenges of the working world.
Recently, the Zukunftscamp 2024 hosted by DIEBERATERINNEN took place, focusing exactly on these topics. During the event, which was held under the motto "What Really Works", several students from the bachelor's program had the opportunity to engage deeply with the challenges and opportunities of the modern working world. The event provided a full day to learn from leading experts and practitioners and to gain insights into proven measures that lead to success in today's working environment.
Students described the Zukunftscamp as an inspiring insight into the modern working world. The keynotes and practical impulses were diverse and informative, and the exchange with experts, leaders, HR professionals, and potential employers was particularly valuable to them.
"The event once again demonstrated the high importance of competent leaders. For this reason, I consider institutions like the MCI indispensable for fostering greater awareness of these issues in the future."
"It is important that we, as students, engage with innovative work models and leadership strategies during our studies to be well-prepared for future challenges."
"It became clear that work motivation is not a coincidence but the result of targeted measures [...]. Events like these are valuable for students like me because they not only impart theoretical knowledge but also provide concrete ideas on how we can actively shape our future work environments."
