The Caritas of the Diocese of Innsbruck, the bachelor’s Program in Social, Health, & Public Management, and the Center for Social & Health Innovation (CSHI) at MCI are joining forces once again for the next edition of the Tyrol State-funded ideas competition:
“Innovations in Social and Health Care – The Society of Tomorrow.”
This competition targets students in the 11th, 12th, and 13th grades (including all final-year classes) across Austria, encouraging them to engage in creative thinking and explore the question: What should the society of the future look like?
Participants are invited to submit their visions for the future of society in short texts of up to 2,600 characters (including spaces, approximately 350 words) via an online platform. To spark inspiration, the following guiding questions are provided:
A panel of experts from the social and health sectors will review the submissions and select up to 10 ideas to be presented as 15-minute online pitches from May 5 to May 9, 2025. From these presentations, three winning ideas will be chosen, with each receiving a prize of EUR 600.
The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2025.
The winners will be honored at an award ceremony held on June 12, 2025, at MCI, with travel expenses within Austria covered for the winners.
To support participants, educators from the bachelor’s Program in Social, Health & Public Management and the CSHI at MCI will offer coaching sessions upon request by schools or teachers (e.g., around semester breaks). These sessions will focus on developing skills for crafting academic abstracts and using artificial intelligence in academic work.
