For all nature lovers, athletes and connoisseurs, who need necessarily a little time-out. Be inspired by personal recommendations on Lake Garda and follow our tracks of enjoyment - #EATaly of the finest!

After the first exhausting half of the semester we all need timeout. Whether intensive programming with Mr. Greiter, nerve-wracking exams with Mr. Dilger or even disciplined co-operation with Mr. Hörhager - we all deserve a break more than ever.
Now at Pentecost, a trip to Lake Garda is particularly well suited. By car, Riva Del Garda, which is 263 km away, can be reached in just 3.5 hours from Innsbruck. Even with the Flixbus you can get to the most beautiful lakes in Italy for only 20 €. The Lago di Garda, or in our latitudes known as Lake Garda, is the ideal destination for athletes and nature lovers.
Lake Garda is not only a mecca for mountain bikers, climbers and hikers, but also for all sorts of water sports. The respective equipment can be borrowed on site inexpensively. Especially for the bikers among us we recommend the bicycle retailer Mecki's in Torbole and for the water sports the Surf Center Lido Blu in Torbole.
To end the evening with a nice glass of wine and perfect sunset, we highly recommend to drive to the east bank. The promontory Punta San Vigilio is the well-known in-place for a sundowner. For the patrons among us: The sunset from the terrace of the luxury hotel (http://www.locanda-sanvigilio.it/?lang=de) is greatly advisable after an aperitif at the boat dock. The hotel offers grissini, ham and vino. But the cheaper option is also suitable: an aperitivo in the bay "Baia delle Sirene", the mermaids bay. Behind this bay is an olive grove, which makes the sheltered beach not only the perfect place for a unique sunset, but also counts as the most beautiful swimming area of the lake. For a small charge of 7 € you can enjoy the bathing fun. From 18:00 clock - in time for sunset - the entrance is free.
Furthermore, the region is also very well known for its local restaurants and nightclubs.
