MCiT and SAP Next-Gen Chapter

Date 2018-10-25

A new chapter was presented at the SAP Academic Conference EMEA 2018 at the TU Munich: MCiT with SAP Business By Design (led by Dr. Christian Ploder) and Design Thinking (led by Dr. Dietmar Kilian). The academic exchange of experiences in the teaching of SAP ByD, where Dr. Ploder shared his experiences with the system and feedback from MCiT students with colleagues from all European countries, was another focus of the conference. Dr. Ploder also completed a Train the Trainer course on IoT implementations with SAP HANA, Fischertechnik and RaspberryPi integration to strengthen MCiT's competencies for international project co-operations and the exchange of experience within the academic SAP community.

In this context, the MCI was recognized as the SAP Next-Gen Chapter - the goal is to provide university graduates as potential future specialists and managers with digital application knowledge.

SAP Next-Gen-Chapters are centers of excellence at universities that excel in fields such as the Internet of Things, Design Thinking, or SAP product expertise.

Furthermore, intensified cooperation with companies should familiarize students with the digital challenges of the economy as early as possible and thus counteract the lack of digital experts.
