In May, two new staff members began working at assistant level in the BWLO department: Sandra Grässle as an assistant & project management and Martin Dinter as a teaching and research assistant.
We would like to introduce them to you in more detail. Therefore, we have asked both of them for an interview.
This week you will get to know Sandra Grässle. She already knows the MCI from different perspectives, as she reports in the interview.
What did you do before you started to work at the BWLO department?
I finished my Bachelor in Business & Management at the MCI last year while simultaneously working at the MCI Library Services as a librarian. Before that, I worked at the Library of the University of Innsbruck for several years, where I successfully completed my apprenticeship as a librarian.
What tasks in your new job at MCI are you particularly looking to?
As an assistant at the BWLO department, my tasks change completely. The knowledge acquired during my studies and in academic writing will be very useful for future tasks in my new position.
With which requests should our students contact you?
Our students are welcome to contact me with questions about the mandatory internship in the Bachelor program at any time. We also offer our Bachelor and Master students the opportunity to go abroad. If their work and private life allow, I strongly encourage them to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Students will receive all important information from me in an online information session in good time.
You have also studied at MCI – which advice would you like to give our students?
In my opinion, good time management is the most important aspect, especially when you study part-time. They should also take advantage of the wide range of additional services such as the seminars and workshops of the Career Center that the MCI offers.
The use of a reference management and knowledge organization software makes your life much easier when writing your bachelor or master thesis.
Finally, even in stressful and challenging times, do not give up. In the end, it is totally worth it, the graduation day at MCI was such a special day for everyone.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to go hiking and I love baking. Luckily, my work colleagues love eating cake.
How would you describe the Business Administration Online department in 5 words?
Curious. Motivated. Friendly. Innovative. Happy.
Thank you for the interview!
