The corona crisis does not seem to prevent future graduates of the Department of Bio- & Food Technology from successfully entering the job market. Many of our students can look forward to accepting exciting jobs in engineering and pharmaceutical biotechnology even before they have finished their studies.
We congratulate the master students Sarah Flatscher, Deniz Brustolon and Scarlett Malafa. Ms. Flatscher and Mr. Brustolon will in future work in the field of biotech engineering as qualification engineers at VTU Engineering and Spiegltec respectively, where they will support the development of biotechnological processes, for example for pharmaceutical production. They will be able to draw on their wide-ranging knowledge in both technical and regulatory matters.
Ms. Malafa has already taken up a position as Chief of Staff at Roche in Penzberg, where she was already working on her master's thesis. She supports the Manufacturing Management Team both in terms of content and organization. Her tasks range from the coordination of the strategy process and process optimization to the management of ad-hoc projects.
On average, MCI graduates have 2.6 job offers before graduation. We are delighted that our students are so successful in getting their careers off to a good start despite the current difficult situation on the job market.
