Date 2020-03-10

The MCI mechatronics department has entered a cooperation with TRINAMIC Motion Control GmbH, which provides MCI students with cost-intensive hardware for motor control.

TRINAMIC is a company located in Hamburg which specializes in embedded motor and motion control. They offer integrated circuits and modules for different motor applications. Their products are used, for example, in the fields of 3D printers, medical pumps and laboratory automation. The ambassador’s program enables easy and free access to expensive evaluation kits, which can be used for students’ private projects. The finished project will be published by TRINAMIC.

The kits are:

  • TMC5130-EVAL-Kit + stepper driver
  • TMC5160-EVAL-Kit + stepper driver
  • TMC4671-EVAL-Kit + BLDC driver with encoder
  • TMC2209 SilentStepStick
  • TMC5160 SilentStepStick
  • TMC SilentStepStick SPI (TMC2103)

We are very excited about the cooperation and are looking forward to all the innovative projects this program will enable in the future.
