A warm welcome to the new cohort of our joint Master program in Health Economics & Management!

The shifting dynamics and rising volatility of health issues undeniably demands a systems and global approach to understand the intricacies at play and tackle change actively. It is widely recognized that all industry stakeholders must collaborate at various levels to develop innovative solutions that facilitate strategic navigation of pressing health-related challenges at hand.

The joint master's degree program in European Health Economics & Management (Eu-HEM) is the exact place you would want to be if you see yourself in the center of rich exchange and cross pollination of knowledge, ideas and perspectives between people of different career and educational backgrounds but united by a shared vision for a forward-looking and resilient future of healthcare. The subject and academic training expertise across all four partner universities, University of Bologna, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and University of Oslo, offers students access to various fields of interests and opportunities through the four specialization track options in the program:

  • Population Health Management
  • Management of Healthcare Institutions
  • Economic Evaluation in Healthcare
  • Health Economics and Policy

Depending on their track choice, students would travel to at least two different Eu-HEM partner universities. Their transition from one destination to another is jointly supported by local coordinators of the program and their responsible department office teams. To top things off, various cohort activities such as a Welcome Days, Career event and Summer school are also built around the program for an integrative and holistic student experience.

This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming almost 70 new students on board their Eu-HEM journey. Their student life kicked off with a vibrant concoction of activities lined up in the program for Welcome Days hosted by the University of Bologna on September 5 and 6. Not only did our new students get to know their fellow peers through a team-building event where they scoured Bologna to get acquainted with the city as their first study destination in the program, they also had the opportunity to interact with current Eu-HEM students and academic staff members to understand the outlook of learning and prospective careers in the respective tracks. Amidst the buzz and chatter, the students bonded over relaxing Aperitivo evenings that set the stage to kickstart an exciting adventure over the next two years.

We wish the Eu-HEM cohort of 2024 bountiful success and achievements!

Are you the next driver of change for the future of healthcare? Applications can be submitted to either MCI or University of Oslo. All information about the program and enrollment can be found at: https://eu-hem.eu/.
