Here, our group of students was introduced to the world of Metaverse by, among others, graduates of the program and also had the opportunity to play with the oculus glasses, which provide an insight into the way Meta uses technology to shape the future. For the next two days, our students were able to visit both LinkedIn, including insights into their company culture and tips on how to professionalize their own LinkedIn profile, and the Google Headquarter. There, the group also learned about the many innovative research projects Google supports in hopes of improving everyday life. Also discussed were their diversity programs and employee advocacy, both of which aim to raise awareness for underrepresented employees. The main program of the study tour was enriched by social events, which gave the students the opportunity to explore the nightlife as well as the culture of the beautiful Irish city of Dublin. Additional networking opportunities were provided by the visit to the Austrian Embassy in Dublin. For a well-rounded and enjoyable completion of the study tour, our group also had the opportunity to visit the Guinness Brewery, including a delicious beer tasting.Overall, the Study Tour was again a memorable experience for our master's students this year and will help enrich their academic and professional careers in many ways.
