In addition to the well-established focus on “Pharmaceutical Biotechnology,” students will now have the option to specialize in “Ecobiotech.”
Starting in the fall semester 2025, this specialization covers both the fundamentals and applications of environmental biotechnology and ecotoxicology, as well as topics related to sustainable bioproduction, such as bio-based raw materials, biorefineries, and green chemistry.
This expansion addresses the growing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly processes across various industries and application areas. Thanks to collaborations with numerous companies, students can immediately apply their acquired knowledge in practice.
