International activities in the Master's program Food Technology & Nutrition

Date 2022-04-29

Our department looks forward to many international activities in 2022

Understanding regional and local conditions and frameworks requires a strong European and international perspective. For this reason, we are very pleased to look forward to a packed international year in 2022.

What awaits us?

For the first time in almost three years, we will be welcoming students from HS Weihenstephan-Triesdorf back to MCI. Even if not everything takes place in presence, it is nevertheless an option for digital exchange and getting to know each other and for discussion regarding the approval of food.

A highlight will await us in June 2022. A delegation from the University of Seville will visit the team of food technologists here at the MCI to define joint activities in the area of the dual degree (which is about to be completed). Furthermore, joint courses, which will then take place in May 2023, are to be defined and coordinated.

The University of Seville is one of the largest universities in Spain and an ideal partner in the field of food technology & industry. Besides the University of Seville, we are also in discussion with partners from Switzerland, Italy and Germany.

We are pleased to be able to offer our students the opportunity to participate with teaching and research lectures as well as to actively participate in the Ulysseus Summer School on Food, Biotechnology & Circular Economy in cooperation with the biotechnet Summer School on Advanced Biotechnology in September 2022, in order to also learn about European perspectives in the field of food technology & nutrition and to network with participants.

In fall, the annual EFFoST conference takes place in Dublin. The MCI has been an active member of the EFFoST network for many years and every year project staff and research associates, together with students, make intensive use of the opportunity to submit and present posters and talks.
