Theses at universities are dedicated to current problems and offer innovative and research-based solutions. In order to make this content accessible to a broad audience and to promote the exchange between science and industry, the MCI Department of Mechatronics organizes an annual master's conference at which students present their theses and thus provide an insight into their work and research activities at MCI.
This year's conference, which took place on September 16, 2024 at the MCI Campus Technology & Life Sciences, once again featured a series of interesting presentations. The lecture topics showed the wide range of mechatronics studies and ranged from structural dynamics, vibration mechanics, electrical engineering and machine learning to AI-based topics, control engineering and robotics.
As part of the master's examination, the presentations were assessed by a three-member examination board and, together with the subsequent technical examination of the candidates, formed the final grade of the master's program. The students Mathias Prast, Rene Santeler, and Markus Schweiger excelled this year, completing the presentation and subsequent examination with excellent results.
