Named after Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam, a 15th-century philosopher, humanist and theologian, the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) ranks among the top 3% in the world's most important university rankings. According to the QS ranking, it is considered to be the best Dutch university in Accounting & Finance; Business & Management; and Medicine*.
The intensive partnership commenced in 2010 with the first exchange students from the MCI master’s program International Health & Social Management. In 2015 this successful collaboration evolved along with two other European universities - the University of Oslo and the University of Bologna, into the joint-degree (EU-HEM) supported by the ERAMSUS Mundus Program.
Since 2017, MCI's Management, Communication & IT students have also had the opportunity to spend their semester abroad at the Triple Crown accredited (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) Rotterdam School of Management, the Faculty of Economics of Erasmus University.
To date, this strong and active partnership between MCI and EUR has facilitated around 140 exchange students their respective semester abroad experience.
