From October 9 to 14, institutions all over the European Union celebrated the Erasmus Days 2023. Commemorating this occasion, MCI daily presented a different Erasmus+ mobility type on Instagram.
Check-out the “Erasmus Days Highlights” on our MCI Instagram account or read more below. Our students actively joined us from all over Europe at #mcierasmusdays2023.
Within the framework of the Erasmus Days 2023, the Austrian National Agency (OEAD) initiated the challenge “Erasmus Aktiv” with the aim to encourage sustainable actions for a better climate. We, the MCI International Relations Office (IRO), participated by cycling to work and are involved in encouraging green travel amongst our students as well as colleagues.

"My year abroad in Paris can be described as an exhilarating exploration through a parallel world. Originating from Germany, residing in Italy, and academically affiliated with Austria, Paris stands as a unique academic and cultural milestone. As a marketing and innovation scholar, I am immersed in a dynamic urban landscape that serves both as a living museum and a cinematic backdrop. While global mobility is a familiar concept to me, the distinct charm of this city consistently captivates my attention."

"I was nervous when I left Innsbruck because it was pretty scary to go somewhere you don´t know for half a year and leave behind people you love. But after all, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was able to meet amazing people and experience an interesting culture with so much to offer. I would really recommend doing it and to step out of your comfort zone.
And, my highlight was definitely living close to the beach."

"Hey! I’m Onni, an incoming exchange student in the master’s program of International Business & Law. I arrived in Innsbruck from Finland last March, which means that I’m currently on my second Erasmus semester here at MCI. With my background in environmental engineering, I’m especially interested in sustainable & circular business models and strategies.
My stay has been an incredible combination of studies and outdoor activities. I’ve been inspired to pick up new hobbies in the Alpine environment and I’ve experienced quite an efficient dive into the Austrian & Tyrolean culture. As Innsbruck is perfectly located close to Germany, Italy and Switzerland, living here has felt like a continuous holiday for a person from the remote North."

"The Blended Intensive Program (BIP) on Leadership Development at the University of Antwerp began in May with four weeks of online courses and concluded with one live week in Antwerp in July. The online part featured webinars, prerecorded videos, and group assignments focusing on leadership development and self-leadership. During our week in Antwerp, we delved into three key topics: self-leadership, leading others, and leading change. The highlight was our horse coaching day, which provided valuable insights into how authenticity and body language influence leadership. Securing suitable accommodation was a big thanks to the excellent support by the BIP Team.
Additionally, Antwerp is an amazing city, with festivals taking place in the city center during our stay. Students from all corners of the globe participated in this course, and together we gained invaluable insights into exploring our full leadership potential. The BIP is a perfect choice for students seeking experiences abroad despite time constraints."

"The Summer School took place in the beautiful Botanical Garden of Palermo. More than 120 students and young researchers learned in 33 lectures about the latest results and innovations in the diverse field of biotechnology - from environmental biotechnology, analytics and diagnostics to drug development and nanotechnology. The event was organized by the University of Palermo and researchers from the FHNW School of Life Sciences, the HES-SO Institute for Life Technologies, the ZHAW Institute for Chemistry and Biotechnology, the University of Bern Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Platform, MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®, and the University of Palermo shared their knowledge.
