MCI is getting more and more attractive for our incoming exchange students. This spring semester, we have the pleasure to host 176 exchange students (including our international double degree students). The incomings are enrolled across our various study programs from Management, Social Sciences to Technology & Life Sciences. We thank our internationals for strongly contributing and enriching the multicultural flair at MCI.
Within their first days, the students could enjoy a diversified orientation program that entailed information on legal requirements for their stay and general information on living in Innsbruck, meeting the Austrian Student Union as well as the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). They then explored our facilities in the course of a campus tour, followed by a short introduction to MCI’s academic culture & e-learning platforms. The day ended with our Student & Career Center also presenting their services and upcoming events.
On the second day, we organized a guided tour through the “Alpenzoo” Innsbruck, where the students learned a lot about the local fauna. In the afternoon, a professional guide showed them around Innsbruck – “their new home” for the next couple of months. The orientation days concluded with a typical Tyrolian Dinner in a wonderful historical setting in Innsbruck’s old town.
We hope the exchange students will spend an unforgettable semester at MCI and in Innsbruck!
Good news: We have just received the nomination of our 5.000th incoming student. We will announce the lucky student at the beginning of the fall semester in October 2024.
