MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® had the great pleasure of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the School of Economics and Business Administration (SEBA) at Chongqing University for their first official visit to Innsbruck.
The delegation was led by Vice Dean Professor Chen Fengwen and included Associate Professor Yang Pianpian, PhD, from the Department of Marketing, and Wang Qing, Director of Undergraduate Programs at SEBA. As one of China’s leading business schools, SEBA proudly holds the prestigious triple crown accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) – a distinction awarded to only a select group of elite institutions worldwide.
The visit centered around key discussions aimed at deepening academic collaboration, including the expansion of student exchange programs, the development of customized short-term programs, and the organization of MBA and EMBA study trips from SEBA to MCI in Innsbruck. Joint efforts to attract more SEBA graduates to pursue full-time Master’s programs at MCI were also on the agenda.
Beyond the formal meetings, the visit was characterized by inspiring conversations about shared values and visions. Both SEBA and MCI are committed to nurturing entrepreneurial thinking and empowering the next generation of leaders.
The delegation was warmly received by Associate Dean International Relations Susanne Lichtmannegger, Head of the China Center Wei Manske-Wang, and Coordinator for Transnational Education & Projects Kim Fladda, and MCI Rector Prof. Andreas Altmann.
Cultural highlights included experiencing traditional Tyrolean cuisine – with the delegation enthusiastically enjoying their first authentic Austrian Schnitzel – and a sightseeing tour to Innsbruck’s iconic Bergisel Olympic Ski Jump, offering stunning views and a glimpse into the region’s rich sporting heritage.
MCI is already looking forward to the next high-level visit: On May 26, Executive President of Chongqing University, Prof. Shu Lichun – a leading expert in electrical engineering – will visit Innsbruck accompanied by a delegation of Directors and Deans from the Colleges of Mathematics and Statistics, Automation, and Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering.
