???????? Saluti di Venezia! ????????

Date 2021-05-27

MCI student Magdalena is spending her 6th semester at the Università Ca' Foscari in Venice!

In general, it can be said that the semester abroad is certainly an exciting new experience, but under given circumstances, due to the CoVid pandemic, it also brings along difficult aspects. For example, there are very few other Erasmus students in Venice and due to the hybrid format of the courses, there were only a few people present at the classroom events.

Of course, it is also a pity that the situation in Italy requires another hard lockdown, which is obviously not ideal for the experience during a semester abroad. In general, however, it is a great opportunity to get to know the country and its people, as well as, in my case, to learn about studying in a language different from my first language.

I also found it very exciting to see the differences between a university of applied sciences and a university, which was and still is a completely new experience for me. And of course, also from a tourism point of view, it was fascinating to see the city, which is mentioned in every discussion about overtourism, almost deserted.
