The annual conference of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Tourismuswissenschaft (DGT) will take place from November 23 to 25, 2023

The development of tourism is characterized by diverse challenges and the following questions will be discussed during the event:

How will future tourism development be shaped?
Which actors play a decisive role in this?
How will this development be accompanied or shaped by politics?

The call for papers, which will be closed by August 31, 2023, includes topics and questions on the following themes:

New tasks for TIs and DMOs
New paths in tourism
Measuring sustainability in tourism
Mindful Traveling
Management of destinations?
Possibilities and limits of tourism policy
Tourism policy visions
Climate-neutral travel - an illusion?
Digital tourism products (virtual reality, augmented reality, etc.)
Consumer behavior and customer loyalty in tourism
