Clara and Luca's insights into their semester abroad:
“Our semester abroad in Bilbao: At first it was rainier than we thought, but we didn't let it stop from exploring a lot right from the start. There are lots of leisure activities on offer here. Instead of skiing, however, surfing is on the agenda here. After a few attempts, it worked out quite well and after a few conversations in Spanish with a local, we got a good deal on the boards.
We take exciting university courses: Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Project Management Processes, etc. But the coolest course is probably Digital Fabrication Technologies, where we learn how to create designs and put them into practice in a lab with vinyl, laser cutters, and a 3D printer. The Spanish people are also all super nice and open, so we've already enjoyed a calimucho or two together.
There are also mountains in Spain. As we were already longing for them, we also spent a weekend with friends in the Picos de Europa and went on short hikes there.
All in all, Spain is great. We're doing well and we're really enjoying the late summer here.”
