Cross-border online teaching - Corona crisis & EU

Date 2020-04-24

Next, to his core areas EU and digitisation, Jean Monnet Professor Dr. Markus Frischhut LL.M. also addresses the current Corona crisis.

In the context of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) "EU Values & DIGNITALization for our CommuNITY (DIGNITY)" at the MCI, Prof. Dr. Harald Bolsinger (FHWS) and Jean Monnet Professor Dr. Markus Frischhut LL.M. are linking the courses "Business Ethics: Value-oriented Argumentation" (at the FHWS) and "EU Values and Digitalization" (at the MCI) in an interdisciplinary digital approach. More than 80 students from both universities participated in this supplementary and voluntary online course. In addition, to ethical challenges posed by the Internet of Things, Big Data, artificial intelligence, robotics etc., current issues relating to the management of the Corona crisis through digitization have been addressed.

In a blog post from April 15, 2020, Dr. Frischhut writes about the topic of sustainability in times of Corona and answers exciting questions regarding environmental protection, climate change and the EU after Corona. Read the article here.

In his next online lecture on April 29, 2020 at 6:30 pm, Dr. Frischhut will highlight the role of the EU in the Corona crisis.
