The MCI invited young and old to participate in fascinating experiments, watch inspiring presentations and visit interactive booths at the Long Night of Research 2024. 29 stations from different fields enabled visitors to dive into the exciting world of science and experience our research up close.
Current research questions were perfectly prepared for the more than 550 interested visitors and invited them to experiment and participate:
What does kombucha have to do with penicillin? How do I make a household appliance intelligent? Have you ever taken a robot dog for a walk? How is artificial intelligence changing our (future) working lives? How is activated charcoal made and what does popcorn have to do with it? How can damage to machines be predicted? ... ... and much more.
The Long Night of Research will be back in 2026.
