At the Annual Conference of the Austrian Society for Public Health (ÖGPH) taking place in October 2024, the MCI - represented by the Department of Social, Health & Public Management and the Center for Social & Health Innovation (CSHI) - will take part in the organization of a Public Health Pop-Up Village.
At this year's ÖGPH Annual Conference from October 16 to October 18, 2024 at Congress Innsbruck, public health will be actively and integratively lived. As part of a Pop-Up Village, an interactive “village” in the congress foyer, a lively meeting place will be created on October 17, 2024 between 9 am and 5 pm, where public health in Austria and this year especially in Tyrol can be discovered in all its facets. The Pop-Up Village offers visitors the opportunity to experience various areas of public health at first hand and actively immerse themselves in a wide range of health-related topics. Participation and information stands will allow visitors to experience a wide range of topics and promote dialogue between experts, interested parties and the general public.
The Pop-Up Village at the ÖGPH Annual Conference
More than 10 local players have already confirmed their participation with exciting stands. These range from Austrian and Tyrolean health and social organizations to educational institutions, sports clubs and many more. Therefore, a wide range of topics will be covered. Visitors to the Pop-Up Village can experience just how diverse public health really is with themed stands on exercise, nutrition, mental health, education, digitalization, migration and many more. The activity offer ranges from competitions, short films, quizzes and role-playing games to exercise stations and healthy snacks. In this way, the Pop-Up Village creates a "social public health home" for a day and therefore supports the ÖGPH's goal of strengthening dialogue, living diversity and actively offering networking opportunities.
Local stakeholders play a particularly important role for the ÖGPH in the organization of the Pop-Up Village. Therefore, in addition to ÖGPH board member Dr Frank Michael Amort (FH Joanneum) as the main organizer, the MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® in Innsbruck is also significantly involved in the implementation of the Pop-Up Village as a co-organizer. With its expertise and local network, the MCI is helping to make the public health "experience village" an outstanding place for exchange and networking.
Be part of it!
The Pop-Up Village offers a unique opportunity to find out more about current developments and approaches in the field of public health and to exchange ideas with experts.
