Six MCI students can look forward to sponsorship and support of great entrepreneurs of the Tiroler Adler Runde. On the initiative of Mr. Michael Kraxner, head of R&D at the MCI, and Mr. Klaus Mark, president of the Tiroler Adler Runde and CEO of mk Illumination, the Young Eagle Program started its first round. Goal of the six-month mentoring program is to support MCI students and their entrepreneurial ideas in order to create sustainable, social and/or economic value for Tyrol.
At the kick-off event of the program, six selected MCI students had the opportunity to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas in front of a top-class jury consisting of successful Tyrolean entrepreneurs. All students were able to convince the jury with their innovative concepts and presentations to receive funding from members of the Tiroler Adler Runde.
Now all students have the opportunity to be part of the mentoring program, during which they can benefit from their mentors’ experiences and receive start-up support and expertise. Furthermore, they are able to set foot into the Tyrolean entrepreneurial network. After six months, the results of the mentoring program will be presented. The program is coordinated and led by the Center for Entrepreneurship at the MCI. “The Young Eagle Program is an incredible opportunity for our students. We are preparing and coaching all participants in the best possible way for their individual pitches, offer advice and help turning their ideas into reality”, says Christoph Engl, Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship.
