The Innsbruck-based start-up revitalyze, led by founders Plaseller David (Strategic Management & Tourism), Gössl Patrick (Digital Business & Software Engineering) and Streif Michael (Software Development), has received a significant public grant from aws Austrian Wirtschaftsservice, the federal government's development bank, for its innovative solution in the field of reusing building materials. The grant, a pre-seed funding, marks a key milestone for revitalyze in its mission to revolutionize the construction industry's approach to sustainability.
Circular construction as a game changerRevitalyze is at the forefront of a movement that aims to redefine the way building materials are sourced and reused. Their vision to offer a complete solution for the reuse of building materials promises to revolutionize the construction industry, reduce waste and maximize the potential for sustainability in private and public construction projects. The start-up has already won several awards and is the only start-up to be among the finalists for the Tirol Change Award. The grant from aws Austrian Wirtschaftsservice is proof of its promising potential and innovative character. The financial support serves as a catalyst for the further development and expansion of their digital platform. "We feel very honored and are delighted about the funding. This is further confirmation of the high relevance of sustainability practices within the construction industry," says Plaseller David, co-founder and CEO of revitalyze.
Processing as a platformThe solution aims to streamline the process of sourcing and reusing construction materials and create a central platform for construction companies, project developers and municipalities looking for sustainable alternatives. "At the same time, we are helping the industry to decarbonise by reducing the proportion of primary raw materials through high-quality recycling and reuse," continues Plaseller.
MCI has supported revitalyze from the very beginning. "We are happy to see how the start-ups of our students and alumni are growing and the case of revitalyze is a confirmation of our work in recent years" says Benjamin Suitner, responsible for investment management, start-ups and entrepreneurship at MCI.
