The City
Albstadt is the largest city in the district of Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on the Swabian Jura mountains, about halfway between Stuttgart and Lake Constance.
Sigmaringen is located about 25 km away from Albstadt. Situated on the upper Danube, it is the capital of the Sigmaringen district and renowned for its castle, Schloss Sigmaringen, which was the seat of the principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and is still owned by the Hohenzollern family.
The University
Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen is a state university of applied sciences founded in 1971. It has two campus locations, Albstadt and Sigmaringen. The Albstadt campus comprises the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computing, while the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Life Science are located on Sigmaringen campus.
