The City
Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Poland being a significant center of research and development, business process outsourcing, and information technology outsourcing. Frontex, the European Union agency for external border security, and ODIHR, one of the principal institutions of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, have their headquarters in Warsaw. As of 2022, Warsaw has one of the highest number of skyscrapers in Europe while Varso Place is the tallest building in the European Union.
The city is home to many renowned universities and also known as "phoenix city", because its center was completely destroyed during and rebuilt after world war two. The Old Town representing examples of nearly every European architectural style and historical period was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1980.
The University
SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SWPS University) is a private university in Poland. Established in 1996 as the Warsaw School of Social Psychology, today SWPS University is one of the largest private universities in Poland with more than 1,200 international students from around 60 countries. The university has five campuses, located in major Polish cities, including Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Poznań, and Katowice.
SWPS University offers numerous undergraduate and graduate programs entirely taught in English. It mainly focuesses on the fields of Psychology, Law, Languages, Literature and Culture Studies, Media and Communication, Management, and Design.
