Study program: Industrial Engineering & Management

When I look back at my time at MCI...

... I am get slightly nostalgic. I liked the atmosphere, the people and the friendly relations with each other. The technical challenges are no less complex, but much more pleasant.

How did your studies prepare you for your current job?

I started my studies because I wanted to understand the connections between technology and business. My goal was to gain the ability to grasp both areas as a whole, leaving all possibilities open to me. That is exactly what I was offered by the Industrial Engineering degree program at MCI. In retrospect, the diversity of my studies, the international orientation and, last but not least, my semester abroad in Hong Kong especially prepared me for my current job. It taught me what integrity means, how to move in an international environment, how to acquire new skills efficiently, and look at things from different perspectives in order to make well-founded decisions. I am currently working as an engineer in the development of Mercedes-Benz Cars and am responsible for the worldwide market approval of complex electronic braking and steering systems.
